Our Buddies had their first meeting on Friday and it was a great success. Junior and senior infants were delighted to meet their sixth class buddies on Friday, they enjoyed a story read by their buddies and a get to know each other chat. Our buddy system pairs new students with a more experienced pupils who can offer guidance, friendship, and reassurance. This support helps reduce anxiety, builds confidence, and fosters a sense of belonging, making the transition to school smoother and more enjoyable. We are looking forward to many more activities together throughout the year.
