Creative Schools
A Creative Week in Our School
It has been a wonderfully creative time in our school, with pupils taking part in a range of inspiring workshops that encouraged imagination, collaboration, and artistic expression.
All classes recently participated in a creative writing workshop facilitated by Dave from Fighting Words. During the session, pupils worked together to develop imaginative ideas and collaboratively create some fantastic stories. It was wonderful to see their creativity in action as they built characters, plots, and exciting twists as a group. The finished stories were a great source of pride for everyone involved and are now available to read on the Fighting Words website.
We were also delighted to welcome Orlagh from Creative Schools to our school this week. Orlagh facilitated an excellent oil pastel workshop, where pupils explored colour, texture, and different artistic techniques. The children thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with the materials and produced some beautiful pieces of artwork.
These workshops are part of our ongoing Creative Schools activities, which aim to give pupils meaningful opportunities to explore creativity across a range of art forms. We are really looking forward to the coming weeks and the exciting activities still to come.
