Junior and Senior Infants have been having great fun exploring life on An Fheirm! From sneaky ladybirds causing mischief to some very busy ducks on the farm, our storytelling has brought lots of laughter and imagination into the classroom.
The children have loved caring for their animals through play, as well as creating their own using printing techniques in Visual Arts. Gaeilge has been buzzing too with words like bó, muc, capall, caora and sicín heard all around the room. 🐄🐷🐴🐑
A big highlight was a surprise trip to the fence, where we spotted real animals being loaded onto a lorry — very exciting scenes for our little farmers!
Our farm theme has also linked in with our RE lessons, learning about the Good Shepherd, bringing a lovely sense of connection across our learning.
