There has been a lovely buzz in our classroom this week as Junior and Senior Infants have been celebrating Valentine’s Day and all things kindness and friendship.
The children have been busy creating beautiful Valentine’s art and taking part in lots of fun activities. We’ve been chatting about our Kindness Café and what it really means to show care and friendship to others — using kind words, helping hands and including everyone in our games.
In Irish, the children have been working so hard and putting their language skills into action. We opened our Siopa Milseáin today, practicing phrases such as “Cad ba mhaith leat?”, “Ba mhaith liom…” and “Seo duit”. Bhí siad ar fheabhas ar fad!
We’ve also been challenging ourselves with tricky word games and becoming true Handwriting Heroes, taking great pride in neat and careful work.
It has been a week full of kindness, learning and lots of smiles.
