Alanna Finnegan has achieved outstanding success in the Monaghan Education Centre History Writing Competition, earning an impressive third place for her wonderful entry.
As part of the competition, students were invited to explore local history through personal stories and interviews. Alanna’s project focused on her grandfather’s childhood memories growing up in Monaghan, capturing a fascinating glimpse into life in earlier times. Her thoughtful writing and careful research impressed the judges and highlighted the importance of preserving family and local history.
