Our Lunchtime League came to an end today after a number of weeks of great football, fun and friendly competition. It has been fantastic to see the pupils from 2nd-6th class getting involved, showing great team spirit and enjoying the games throughout.
A big thank you to Mr. Donnelly for organising and refereeing the tournament over the last number of weeks.
Today's final saw Monaghan take on New York in a very closely fought contest. New York, captained by Fionn Farrelly, came out on top by just one point after a game filled with excellent scores, great teamwork and some superb passages of play 👏
Congratulations to Aidan Farrelly, who was named Player of the Tournament for his outstanding performances throughout the competition. A huge well done to all the pupils who took part. The effort, sportsmanship and positive attitude shown throughout the tournament have been brilliant to see. Hopefully Monaghan can make up for today's result with a win in Croke Park this Sunday! 🏐💙🤍
