We are incredibly fortunate in our school to have a sensory room in Scoil Bhríde —a calm, welcoming space designed to support students’ wellbeing, focus, and emotional regulation. A sensory room provides a safe environment where children can relax, explore different textures, sounds, lights, and movements, and take time to reset before returning to class ready to learn. It can help reduce anxiety, improve concentration, and give students the tools they need to manage their emotions in a positive way.
Our sensory room is filled with thoughtful features—from soft lighting and soothing sounds to tactile toys and sensory equipment—all chosen to create a peaceful and supportive atmosphere for every child who needs it.
This special space would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our three amazing SNAs. They put in countless hours planning, gathering resources, and setting everything up so beautifully. Their creativity, care, and commitment to our students shine through in every detail of the room.
