PAWS (Primary Aquatics Water Safety)

7th Nov 2025

On Wednesday, our pupils took part in the PAWS (Primary Aquatics Water Safety) programme, and we are delighted to share how successful and enjoyable the experience was for everyone involved!

The PAWS programme teaches children about water safety—both in and around water—and helps them understand how to stay safe at pools, beaches, rivers, and even at home. Through fun discussions and activities, the children learned important messages about being careful near water, what to do in an emergency, and how to make sensible choices when swimming or playing outside.

All of our pupils took part with great enthusiasm and tried their very best throughout. It was wonderful to see how engaged they were, sharing their own experiences and learning new life skills that will help keep them safe.

The PAWS lessons are an important part of our school’s wellbeing and safety education, helping children to build confidence and awareness in a way that is age-appropriate and enjoyable. We are so proud of how well the children participated and the positive attitude they showed during the programme.
